The last race of the season was pretty quiet. The LVISBF and the SFISS had a great time racing in the park. Just because the offical season is over, doesn’t mean we won’t be racing. If you want to get some runs in, post something on our message board.
Another one for the record books. “The Stuka” was nearly destroyed along with her pilot. A combination of excessive bumpsteer and speed caused our fastest wreckage to date. 60mph 180 spin-out, “The Stuka” was sling shotted off the road and into a ditch. The pilot walked away with a small puncture wound, bumps, minor bruising and a missing shoe. When asked if he was ok? a panic look came over his face. He reached in his pocket, smiled and said, “my Storm(blackberry) is ok.”
‘Nerd….,” rebutted Driver Matt J.

It’s been a great season, and we are gonna end things with a race in San Francisco. That’s right, our November race will be the last one until March 2010. If you don’t know the details about the race by now, contact us.
Hey everyone. We are proud to announce our new email address: LVISBF@gmail.com
(Some of you may have received an email from a yahoo account. Don’t worry, that was still us. We were just trying to mix things up, and now we’ve moved to greener pastures.)
So this months race was a complete disaster. Not quiet, ” another successful run for the history books.” Or something like that. We had three carts show up, and a couple spectators. We ran out to the start of the race, unloaded and were greeted by the fun police. The fun police was armed with a 6-shooter, I guess this dork thought he was a cowboy or something. He stated, ” it was cute the other day, but its not any more. If you don’t pack it up I’m calling the police” so. Two carts were packed up. Some discussion was being made about moving down the road. Sean decided to run it. Then we salvaged what we could at Del Valle.

Next Sunday, September 6th the LVISBF will be racing a new course. We are calling it Wagon Trail, I didn’t scout it so the details may be sketchy. It’s a fast (50mph plus) course, on a narrow road with “decent” road conditions. Meeting time is 5am this month, to avoid any “issues”. E-mail millerkustoms@gmail.com to be added to our mailing list if you want to spectate or race.
i just wanted to give an early heads up for the September race. Sean got passed up for the August pick so he has chosen a new course for September. The location will be announced closer to the end of the month, but I felt I should advise everyone now. It will be hairy, like Deadmans Ditch but with shitty road conditions. So get on making sure you have you’re brakes working well now, and try to bring someone with you as we will need help blocking the course this time. See you in a few weeks.
